About us
Sekyere Kusi Technical Institute was formed in 2012 through the initiative of Rev. John Opoku of blessed memory. The institute began as a vocational school because Rev. Opoku wanted to give the youth in the Sekyere district, who could not make it to Senior High School, the chance to learn trades that would provide work opportunities and the potential to open their own small businesses. The institution was later turned into a Senior High School at the request of the community.
In recent developments, a committee has been established to continue the good work begun by Rev. Opoku. After assessing the current situation in education in the country and the opportunities within the TVET program, the committee has recommended rebranding the institution into a technical institute to take advantage of the TVET program and its benefits.
